11-11-2010 Electronics TakeBack Coalition: Petition to Acer and Lenovo for truly green products

Even though some electronics companies market "green" products, this is an industry that has a long way to go before it can be called "green."  We need to let these companies know that we expect them to do better, and to give us genuine green options.

Please take a minute to send an email to two computer giants - Acer and Lenovo - and tell them you want them redesign their products to make them safe, make them last, and take them back for responsible recycling. 

Why Acer and Lenovo?

• - Acer is number 2 seller of computers worldwide, and Lenovo is number 4.
• - You might not know the Acer name, but you know other brands they sell: Gateway, eMachines, Packard Bell.
• - Lenovo owns the former IBM thinkpad line of laptops
• - Both companies got D's on our October 2010 Recycling Report Card
